Using The Pilates Circle

Our Physio Pilates classes are designed to increase your awareness of how the core muscles (your centre) in your body can work most efficiently to enhance your efficiency of movement and reduce your risk of injury. Each class provides education and a range of levels to make them accessible to people of all abilities.

In this express class we make use of the Pilates Circle, a piece of equipment that allows us to maintain body symmetry throughout an exercise, as well as adding resistance at times. As you make your way through this class our hope is that you will become more aware of muscle groups working in some exercises, and be keen to add some of these exercises into your routines.

Adding resistance to exercises should only be done whilst still being able to maintain adequate control through your centre, so please ensure you are not doing these exercises in a way that is unsafe for your body.
